Dr. Idda Lyatonga SwaiAg. Dean Head

Idda is a Senior Lecturer of Local Governance and Gender in the Department of Local Government Management and Acting Dean of School of Public Administration and Management at Mzumbe University. Idda has more than 15 years of teaching experience and has been conducting long and short courses in the areas of Local Government Management, Leadership in Local Government particularly at the grass root level, Urban Governance, Social Science Research Methods, and Gender and Public Administration in general She has been involved in capacity building activities to train officials from the government, private and NGOs in the areas of leadership and governance, gender, local governance and Monitoring and Evaluation. Idda has been working with the President's Office, Regional Administration and Local Government and the Ministry of Health in the development of policies and guidelines as a consultant and a key stakeholder representing Mzumbe University.

Idda has published and conducted researches in the area of gender, governance and reproductive health and has been involved in the implementation of various projects as a Gender Mainstreaming Expert, mobility project coordinator and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) coordinator. Idda was involved in organizing the Annual Health Monitoring and Evaluation Best Practices Conferences in three consecutive years from 2017 to 2019.

Dr. Denis John Kamugisha Head,Department of Public Service and Human Resource Management
Dr. Denis John Kamugisha is a lecturer and Head of Department of Public Service and Human Resources Management (PSHRM) at the School of Public Administration and Management (SOPAM), Mzumbe University, Morogoro, Tanzania. He holds a PhD in Public Administration, Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Bachelor of Arts (BA. hons) degrees from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). He also holds a number of certificates of attendance on capacity building programmes for a range of short courses and training. He has over 10 years’ experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and has been participating in curriculum and research agenda development. His research and teaching focuses on public Administration, Public Policy, Human Resources Management, Public Service Management, Strategic Management, Local Governance, Corporate Governance, Ethics, Service Delivery and Research. Other areas of his competence include Curriculum Development and Environmental Management. Further, he has successfully conducted research, consultancies, outreach activities, published book chapters and journal articles in area of public administration and management science.

Dr. Mackfallen G. AnaselHead,Department of Health Systems Management

Mackfallen G. Anasel (PhD) is a Lecturer in the Department of Health Systems Management of Mzumbe University. He has more than five (5) years teaching experience in Quantitative and Qualitative research methodology in Monitoring and Evaluation, Introduction to Biostatistics; research methods in Health Systems Management and Public Policy Research and Analysis.

His research interests included Policy implementation and analysis; and Reproductive and Child Health. He holds a Bachelor of Public Administration (Health Systems Management) degree from Mzumbe University, Master of Science in Population Studies degree from Groningen University, the Netherlands and a PhD in Demography degree from Groningen University, the Netherlands.

Dr. Saida Seleman FundiHead,Center of Policy and Leadership (CEPOLE)
Is a Lecturer and Acting Head for the Center of Policy and Leadership (CEPOLE) at Mzumbe University. She holds a PhD in Public Administration degree from Mzumbe University and Mphil. in Public Administration and Organisation Theory degree from University of Bergen, Norway. Apart from teaching, Saida has been a research supervisor for postgraduate and undergraduate students at Mzumbe University and engaged several research and consultancy activities throughout her employment period. She has also been a trainer in public administration and governance, particularly in issues relating to public policy institutions, organisational behaviour, team management and conflicts management in public, private and third sector institutions. Saida has authored and co-authored articles in national and international peer reviewed journals in areas of Public Policy and Institutions.
